Lo heard the door open and she felt her heart sink. She knew what was coming now: Trent would tell her that it was going to be time to go and then all of this would be in the past. Though scared to death, she was relieved and deep down she knew that as long as Trent was there, she’d be okay; they would be okay. She had to believe it. Sighing heavily as her fiancé nuzzled into her neck, Lo kept her eyes shut a while longer and held him close as she continued to lie on the bed. Lo leaving meant leaving her family and all the memories that had happened behind. She wanted to find every excuse to stay but she couldn’t. They were better now and now: this was it. “ So this is it… this is what leaving people and memories behind feels like…” she said, her heart aching as she sat up slowly. Lo shook her head softly, eyes shut, and trying not to feel but in the end couldn’t help but let a tear or two fall down her cheek.
Trent pulled her into him and held her making soothing noises as he did. Trent expected this. He was excited about starting his life with Lo but there was something about the manor that made him feel safe. They hadn’t tried to be out there in the real world and he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like. Not living under one roof with all of his friends and those he considered as close to him as family. Trent reached and wiped the tears from Lo’s face, ‘Hey… don’t cry,’ he said kissing her forehead, ‘This isn’t goodbye forever Lo we’ll see Evs and the rest of them again eventually and we’ll always have the memories… it’s just time to make new ones is all…’

Harlow folded the last of Trent’s clothes into a large suitcase. Six hours and about five large suitcases later (most of them belonging to Harlow), the brunette was finally done packing. This was it: the day that she and Trent got the hell out of this Manor and start their lives together. If not for a ‘married couple’, but together. It’s not like they had plan to leave this early but if they didn’t, one of them would back out — one of them most likely being Harlow. Lo brushed her hair aside, her heart feeling a bit heavy as she looked around the room. It seemed empty, a bit eerie to her. Living in the same place for six months, having gone through all that she did, Bradford Manor held many memories: good and bad. She was going to miss the place and that’s what kind of scared Harlow from wanting to leave but this day had to come sooner or later. Sighing, Lo fell back on their bed, texting Trent saying everything was finally packed and the room was tidied up. She could feel her stomach draw into familiar knots again as her eyelids got heavy — exhausted and hoping that this feeling would pass as she waited for Trent to come back.
It was time, Trent knew it. Bradford just wasn’t the place for them anymore. They had both been sober for a while now and it seemed as if everyone else was going their separate ways so late last night Trent suggested they pack up and leave today. Lo had protested at first but it was nothing for him to convince her this was for the best. He knew she would chicken out if they set a date to leave like Adam and his girl. Trent walked into their room to see all the suitcases and boxes already packed and his tired girlfriend relaxed on the bed her eyes closed. He crawled into the bed with her and nuzzled her neck, ‘Impala’s ready and waiting on us love…’ he muttered.

Me, you and the open road and at least one week up in Colorado.
Colorado, right. At least we’ll get to see Adam and Amy… is it weird to say that I’m gonna miss this place just a bit?
No. I’m going to miss it too.

Which was why we decided we were just going to leave. Because if we set a date we’d get cold feet and chicken out…
I hate it when you’re right, haha. On the up side, at least it’s me and you — us, right?
